Entrance & opening times

Thursday to Saturday, October 24th to 26th, the convention is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Sunday, October 27th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please note that we will have a new admission system for all visitors of SPIEL:
In addition to the existing West and South entrances, the recently renovated East Entrance will also be available for the first time in 2019, with 3,000 additional cloakrooms and many cashiers. This will be the main entrance for visitors who buy their tickets on site.
There will also be ticket counters at the South Entrance.
At the West Entrance there are no ticket counters, so that only visitors with pre-sale tickets can enter. However, they can also use all other entrances.

 

Ticket Prices for everybody at the cashier:

One-Day Ticket for SPIEL
– Adults 15,– EUR
– Children (4 to 12 years) 8,– EUR
– Schoolchildren, students, disabled persons* 12,– EUR
– Families: max. 5 people (max. 2 adults, children no older than 12 or with school student ID) 36,– EUR

Four-Day Ticket for SPIEL
– Adults 37,– EUR
– Children (4 to 12 years) 21,– EUR
– Schoolchildren, students, disabled persons* 28,– EUR

*Your carer will receive free admission if you have a severely disabled person’s pass with code “B”. This only applies to only one carer and only in conjunction with your admission ticket.

 

KombiTickets
The long-standing contract between Messe Essen and Ruhrbahn, to which we are unfortunately affiliated, has not been extended, so there will be no combi-tickets for VRR for any event taking place at Messe Essen this year or in the future. We regret this very much.

SPIEL ’19-PREVIEW-NIGHT Wednesday, 23.10.2019

The SPIEL ’19 will celebrate a premiere on Wednesday, 23.10.2019 with the SPIEL-PREVIEW-NIGHT. Perhaps you’d like to join us when, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., countless new games can be tested and played in the Congress Center CC Süd at Messe Essen one day before the start of the fair. Game explainers from the game publishers are available at many tables, and a large open playing area with a game libary complet the programme of this evening. The fair restaurant provides food and drinks for your physical well-being. The entrance fee for the PREVIEW-NIGHT is not included in the price of SPIEL. Tickets must be purchased separately.

Advanced Tickets sale via Messe Essen:

The advance sales fee in Messe Essen’s Ticket Online Shop is EUR 2,– per ticket. The ticket can be ordered and printed out conveniently at home or en route or can be shown on the smartphone/tablet at the entrance. Payment is made by SofortÜberweisung/Giropay or credit card.

Admission Tickets for Trade Visitors:

Trade Visitors can choose between One-Day Tickets and Two-Day Tickets.

Trade visitors will be able to work and conduct conversations in a quiet feel-good atmosphere in the Business Lounge in hall 3. Accreditation for the Novelty show will be at the booth of Merz Verlag in hall 3, booth number 3H100.

One-Day Ticket Trade Visitor:

One-Day Ticket “Comfort” including access to the “Business-Lounge” EUR 26,–

One-Day Ticket “Comfort plus” access to the “Business-Lounge” and parking ticket (only available in advance ticket sales) EUR 32,–

Two-Day Ticket Trade Visitor:

Two-Day Ticket “Comfort” including access to the “Business-Lounge” EUR 45,–

Two-Day Ticket “Comfort plus” access to the “Business-Lounge” and parking ticket (only available in advance ticket sales) EUR 57,–

Trade Visitors can purchase their ticket via Messe Essen Ticket Shop.

At the fairground Trade Visitors can receive the ticket at sight of a Trade Visitor verification

By entering the fairground, visitors consent to the free use of their image and voice for photographs, live broadcasts, programmes and/or recordings of image and/or sound produced by the organiser or his representative in connection with the event and their subsequent exploitation in all current and future media (such as in particular in the form of sound and image carriers, via print and digital distribution, e.g. via the Internet).
